“A wise man ought to recognize that health is the most valuable possession and learn how to treat his illnesses by his own judgment.”

Hippocrates, A Regimen for Health, circa 500 BCE

Welcome to my website!

It is my hope that the information on this website will be helpful to you when you have to consider a medical intervention in your life or the lives of your loved ones. My aim is to provide you with some of the tools necessary to think critically and to inform yourself carefully before agreeing to anything modern medicine offers.

Properly prescribed pharmaceutical drugs, taken as prescribed for the conditions for which they are marketed, have become the leading cause of death, and standard medical screening as well as most surgical  procedures are known to do more harm than good. * It is, therefore, of vital importance that doctors, screening tests, public health advice, diagnostic labels, and magic bullets of every kind be approached with utmost caution and profound skepticism. Only the informed patient can stop this carnage fueled by marketing spin and often outdated concepts of disease and therapy. To tell the difference between what is life-preserving and life-destroying in medicine today is very difficult  – the era of blind trust in white coats is absolutely over.

To find out more about who I am, please go to ABOUT HELKE FERRIE.

For more than a decade, I have published monthly in-depth articles on medical politics in Vitality Magazine in Toronto; they have also been published frequently in other venues, such as the CCPA Monitor (Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives), Common Ground, Straight Goods, and various publications on-line and in print in Canada, the USA, and the UK, in both English and French. You will find a selection of my recent articles by clicking on HELKE’S ARTICLES. Feel free to download and share them. All my work is based on research sources from mainstream medical and government publications. The conclusions I draw are my own. I agree with the late US Senator Patrick Moynihan who said :”You are entitled to your own opinion, but not to your own facts.”

Since 2002 I have also run KOS Publishing Inc., devoted to books on the politics of medicine written mostly by doctors. The currently available titles are shown at KOS BOOKS FOR SALE. To place an order or to contact me for any questions you may have about what you read on this website, use the CONTACT button.

Because critical thinkers are a world-wide community, I invite you to check out those books, newsletters, websites, and documentary DVDs which are reliable, helpful, healing, and free of marketing spin. You find some of them with my comments or book reviews at RECOMMENDED SOURCES.
